Official Statement & Application

This Policy governs content published through Ukaah, the content and community service of UkaMart Global Ltd (RC1532291). It explains ownership, the limited licence needed to operate the service, commercial disclosures and enforcement. It applies alongside Community Standards, product rules and any separately accepted earnings terms.

Part 1 Creating content

You may create permitted videos, images, audio and captions using available features. Content must be lawful, accurate where factual, safe and respectful of other people's privacy and rights. Review generated captions and edits before publishing.

The minimum account age is 15. Users aged 15–17 may publish only after verified guardian consent and specific authorisation covering publication and the limited licence in Part 3. If that authorisation cannot be verified, publishing remains unavailable. Selling, paid creator participation, payouts, Promote and Earn and LIVE hosting require age 18.

Part 2 Ownership

You retain the rights you own in your content. Uploading does not transfer ownership to UkaMart. Rights belonging to other people, including music, performers and people depicted, remain theirs.

You must have authority for the intended use. A licence from UkaMart cannot grant you rights in another user's content that UkaMart does not possess.

Part 3 Licence to UkaMart

You grant UkaMart a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, host, reproduce, encode, resize, display, distribute and communicate your content only as necessary to operate Ukaah and its enabled sharing features. For public content, this includes featuring it on UkaMart's own platform to introduce or promote Ukaah. Restricted content remains within its stated audience.

Technical edits, short previews and captions must not materially misrepresent your message or invent an endorsement. Service providers may exercise only the rights needed to deliver these purposes under restrictions. This licence does not authorise sale of your content, unrelated third-party campaigns or general-purpose AI training.

Paid off-platform advertising and uses outside this scope require separate permission specifying content, channels, duration and payment if any. For a child creator, verified guardian authority is required for the limited licence, and paid commercial participation is unavailable under these Terms. No blanket moral-rights waiver applies.

On deletion, UkaMart stops new promotional use and removes active displays under its control within 7 calendar days. Active-system deletion completes within 30 calendar days and backup copies expire within the stated 7-day backup cycle. Necessary legal or safety evidence may remain under restricted access without new promotional use. Copies independently shared outside UkaMart's control may persist. A separate campaign licence has its own agreed termination terms.

Part 4 Copyright

Use original material, an adequate permission or an applicable legal exception. Credit, a short duration, purchase of a copy or availability on another app does not automatically authorise reuse.

Designated contact: Copyright Notices Officer, UkaMart Global Ltd, support@ukamart.com, subject “Copyright notice”; postal notices may be sent to No. 49 Tetlow Road, Online Plaza (Opposite Haier Thermocool Showroom), Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

A formal notice must include a physical or electronic signature, the protected work, identification and location of the disputed material, contact details, a declaration on oath that the use is believed unauthorised by the owner, agent or law, and an accuracy and authority statement. We promptly notify the uploader and expeditiously remove or disable access under the applicable Copyright Act process.

We forward a written counter-notice immediately. Restoration may follow if the owner does not respond denying authorisation within 7 days after forwarding; it is not automatic. Repeated-infringement warnings have a separate process: a signed mistake or misidentification challenge is due within 10 days of the warning; an unresolved challenge is referred to the Nigerian Copyright Commission after 10 days of receipt. Where the statutory conditions apply, a second notification without a pending challenge requires at least one month's suspension. Document 11 provides the fuller process.

Part 5 Music

You need rights covering the composition, recording and relevant performance for your actual use, including advertising or LIVE where applicable. A personal streaming subscription or another app's music licence is not transferable permission.

Ukaah does not grant a blanket music licence. Use original or demonstrably cleared audio; otherwise remove or mute the affected music before publishing. UkaMart may mute or remove content where clearance is missing. Any future licensed library is governed by its actual track, territory and commercial-use limits; no universal clearance is implied.

Part 6 Product linked content

Link to the actual permitted product and disclose the seller and material limitations accurately. Do not demonstrate one model while linking to another without clear explanation. Keep important price, condition and availability statements current or visibly dated.

A product link or creator recommendation does not guarantee quality or expand Buyer Protection. Complaints and remedies remain governed by the applicable sale terms.

Part 7 Commercial content

Commercial content includes advertising your own business, paid promotions and content influenced by a commercial relationship. Identify it clearly and obtain required advertising and product approvals before publication.

The creator is responsible for obtaining and documenting required ARCON clearance for creator-led advertising, working with the advertiser where appropriate. Where UkaMart commissions and controls the campaign, the written campaign agreement identifies UkaMart's clearance responsibility and the creator's evidence and cooperation duties. No agreement overrides a legal duty imposed directly on either party.

Part 8 Affiliate content

Disclose “Affiliate” and plainly state that you may earn a commission where the content can generate earnings. Do not hide the disclosure behind a link or a long caption. Joining and commission rights are governed by Document 9 and the accepted offer.

Part 9 Sponsored content

Label paid or otherwise sponsored content clearly at the point the viewer encounters it. Identify the relationship and do not claim to be independent where the sponsor controlled the content. Approval by a sponsor does not excuse misleading claims.

Part 10 Gifted products

Disclose a free or discounted product or other material benefit that could affect the recommendation. A gifted item need not involve cash to require disclosure. State an honest experience and do not invent use or testing.

Part 11 Disclosure labels

Use all applicable labels: Seller content for your own products, Affiliate for commission links, Sponsored for sponsorship and Gifted product for relevant benefits. Labels may overlap. Add plain-language explanation where a tool label alone is insufficient.

Disclosures must be visible, understandable and appropriately repeated in LIVE or long-form content. A disclosure does not legalise an unsupported claim or prohibited product.

Part 12 Product claims

Substantiate factual performance, safety, price, authenticity and warranty claims. Do not promise a cure, guaranteed income, guaranteed delivery or UkaMart approval without valid evidence and authority.

Regulated claims require the relevant authority's approval where applicable and review by UkaMart's designated Product Compliance Reviewer before publication. A pending review is not permission to post. Do not portray a product registration as approval for every advertising claim.

Part 13 Fake demonstrations

Do not stage false before-and-after results, conceal material test conditions, switch products, fake damage resistance or create fabricated customer testimony. Editing for clarity must not misrepresent what the product can do.

Part 14 AI and manipulated content

Identify realistic synthetic or materially altered media where it could mislead viewers about a real person, event or product performance. Do not use deepfakes, fake endorsements or cloned voices without appropriate authority.

AI assistance does not shift responsibility away from the creator. Do not use generated product scenes as proof of an actual used item's condition or upload private information into unauthorised tools.

Part 15 LIVE

Hosts must be at least 18 and satisfy any enabled host-approval process. Hosts must supervise invited guests and take reasonable steps to moderate comments. Avoid unsafe demonstrations, distracted driving and exposure of private information.

Disclose commercial relationships throughout the stream as needed. UkaMart may interrupt a stream or restrict LIVE to address a supported urgent concern. Feature availability depends on the required moderation arrangements.

Part 16 Comments

Comments must follow Community Standards. Honest criticism is allowed; threats, harassment, spam, scams and disclosure of private information are not. Do not manufacture engagement or remove legitimate criticism as part of a misleading campaign.

Part 17 Creator responsibility

You are responsible for the content and rights you provide. Do not impersonate, infringe, defame, fabricate evidence, exploit children or manipulate rewards. Adults participating commercially indemnify UkaMart for reasonable evidenced third-party claims and costs to the extent caused by their material breach, infringement, fraud or unlawful content.

That indemnity excludes UkaMart's own wrongdoing, requires prompt notice and reasonable participation in defence, and does not cover untransferable penalties. We mitigate losses and do not impose an admission or non-monetary settlement duty without reasonable consent. No general commercial indemnity is imposed on a child merely for ordinary authorised posting.

Part 18 Removal and restrictions

UkaMart may request an edit, mute audio, unpublish or remove content, interrupt LIVE or restrict a feature or account for a supported breach, rights notice or urgent safety need. Notice identifies the rule and appeal route where lawful. Statutory notices follow their legal process.

Final bans, significant restrictions and adverse payout decisions receive meaningful human review; urgent temporary safeguards may precede it. A content removal does not automatically forfeit unrelated earned money. Deletion and evidence retention follow Document 1.

Part 19 Appeals

Email support@ukamart.com with “Creator appeal”, the reference, explanation and relevant rights or factual evidence, ordinarily within 30 calendar days of notice. We consider justified late submissions. We acknowledge within 2 business days and aim for a human-review result within 10 business days, with a substantive update at least every 10 business days if more time is needed.

Statutory copyright challenges follow Part 4 and Document 11 rather than the ordinary appeal window. You can seek regulator or court remedies without completing internal review. Privacy matters and guardian enquiries go to privacy@ukamart.com.

For these service targets, business days mean Monday to Friday excluding Nigerian public holidays. Calendar days include weekends and holidays. Any shorter mandatory legal deadline takes priority.
