These rules are the listing rulebook for sellers on UkaMart Global Ltd (RC1532291). They cover listing quality, condition, authenticity, regulated products and enforcement. Sellers remain responsible for legal supply and accurate claims. Approval or publication is not a guarantee of authenticity, safety or legality.
Part A Listing quality
Complete the applicable fields accurately. Use “Unknown” only where a non-essential fact is genuinely unavailable; missing legal or safety information prevents publication. Sellers must verify generated descriptions and auto-filled specifications.
Title
State the real product type, brand, model and useful distinguishing specification. Do not include unrelated brands, contact numbers, false urgency or unsupported “official” claims. Make condition visible in its dedicated field and prominently in the title where needed.
Description
Explain included components, functions, compatibility, known faults, repairs where known, missing accessories and material limitations. Put defects where buyers can see them before purchase, not only in private chat. Explain any permitted pre-order or made-to-order arrangement.
Category
Use the closest approved category and correct variants. Do not place restricted goods in an unrestricted category or combine unrelated products to attract traffic. A category requiring approval remains unavailable until approval is granted.
Brand
Use the genuine brand or “Unbranded”. A third-party accessory may describe compatibility without claiming the original manufacturer's identity or endorsement. Authorised dealer claims require evidence.
Price
State the actual price, currency, unit and compulsory charges. Do not use a nominal placeholder for a more expensive item, hide a mandatory accessory or request an undisclosed balance after checkout. Negotiation does not override the approved order-confirmation process.
Photos
Use clear images of the actual used, refurbished or for-parts item, including defects. Illustrative or stock images must be identified and must not replace material condition evidence. Do not alter scratches, labels or damage. Supply full serial or IMEI evidence privately where needed, rather than exposing it publicly.
Video
Show the advertised item or clearly label a manufacturer demonstration. Do not simulate performance, use another model or stage false tests. Obtain media and music rights and demonstrate products safely. Category rules state when video is required.
Specifications
Verify model, processor generation, RAM, storage, capacity, materials, dimensions and compatibility. Distinguish physical memory from virtual expansion and seller upgrades from factory configuration. Do not infer specifications from appearance alone.
Stock
Maintain accurate quantities and remove unavailable variants. Do not fabricate scarcity or accept orders against invented stock. Disclose a realistic lead time for an expressly permitted pre-order.
Location
State where the goods are actually held or dispatched from. Distinguish origin, collection point and business address. Do not claim local stock while concealing overseas shipment. Public location should not unnecessarily expose a private home address.
Part B Product condition
The condition label must reflect the item and its history. Geographic descriptions do not certify quality, legality or warranty. Disclose refurbishment and known repairs even where an origin label is used.
Brand New
Unused, not previously used as a consumer product, with the supplied components and packaging condition accurately stated. Do not label refurbished or customer-used stock as new. “Factory sealed” must be true; opened packaging uses Open Box under these rules.
Open Box
Packaging has been opened, but the item has not undergone ordinary consumer use. State known activation, demonstration, return history and missing seals or accessories. Meaningful prior use requires a used or refurbished label.
UK Used
Previously used goods with supportable UK provenance. Retain lawful purchase and import or duty-paid supply-chain evidence appropriate to the seller's role. Disclose current location, condition, repairs, locks and accessories. This label does not promise a UK or local manufacturer warranty.
For phones and computers, retain serial or IMEI records and conduct appropriate stolen-device and ownership checks where available. Confirm lawful transfer and activation, network, MDM and financing-lock status. An unverified origin must not be invented to justify a premium.
Nigeria Used
Previously used in Nigeria. Describe wear, repairs, battery information and known faults accurately. Where previously imported and then used locally, describe that history instead of implying exclusively overseas use.
Refurbished
State who refurbished the item where known, the work performed, replaced parts, tests, remaining defects and warranty provider. Cleaning alone does not substantiate refurbishment. “Manufacturer refurbished” requires evidence.
Renewed
Use only under an expressly approved programme or verifiable named provider standard with documented testing and warranty. No general UkaMart certification is created by this label. Otherwise choose Used or Refurbished as appropriate.
For Parts
Clearly identify non-working or incomplete goods, known faults and tested functions. Do not imply readiness for ordinary use. This category does not permit stolen items, unsafe batteries, unlawful waste or concealed ownership locks. Any restricted salvage listing requires prior approval and evidence of lawful ownership.
Part C Authenticity
Counterfeits cannot be listed, including “replica”, “AAA” or “first copy” goods that infringe rights. Do not attach false marks, serials or approval numbers. Keep invoices and supply-chain evidence sufficient for a reasonable authenticity inquiry.
UkaMart may request evidence, obtain specialist input or restrict a listing while investigating. Any review is not a guarantee of authenticity, safety or legality and does not remove the seller's duty. Confirmed counterfeits trigger remedies and enforcement under Documents 4, 6 and 11.
Part D Restricted products
Prior approval is required for regulated foods, supplements, cosmetics, medicines, medical devices, relevant radio equipment, dangerous goods, battery shipments, high-value restricted goods and any category marked approval-only. A seller may not publish while approval is pending or absent.
The category decision identifies the product and variant, seller's role, regulator, evidence required, reviewer, approval expiry and permitted sales and delivery conditions. Prescription medicines and specialist controlled goods are not enabled through ordinary listings. No category approval overrides a legal prohibition.
The initial approval matrix follows this rule: regulated consumables need relevant NAFDAC and labelling evidence; electrical goods need applicable SON conformity and lawful supply-chain evidence; radio equipment needs applicable NCC model approval; imported used devices need provenance, customs evidence and identifier or lock checks; dangerous goods need a qualified route and packaging approval. Any category without a completed applicable review remains closed.
Part E Prohibited products
Legal prohibitions and controls: stolen and counterfeit goods, unlawful drugs, forged official documents, prohibited imports and goods whose sale or possession is unlawful in the circumstances cannot be listed. Firearms and ammunition are subject to statutory controls; a seller's declaration does not authorise their trade.
Additional UkaMart exclusions: firearms, ammunition and explosive weapons are not permitted through the marketplace even if a particular seller claims a licence. Ordinary listings also exclude tobacco and vaping products, pornography, live animals, human organs, financial accounts, payment credentials and recalled or dangerously defective consumer goods. These platform exclusions may be stricter than what is lawful elsewhere.
Do not list services or components to evade the same restriction. A prohibition on the platform does not mean every excluded product is unlawful in every context; conversely a statutory ban is not merely a house preference.
Part F Regulatory products
The applicable requirement depends on the exact product, model, use, origin and seller's supply-chain role. More than one regulator may apply. Keep approvals current and match identifiers to the actual goods.
NAFDAC
For relevant food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices and other regulated products, verify the required registration and labelling against the product and responsible manufacturer or applicant. Product registration does not automatically authorise an advertisement or medical claim. Claims requiring specialist review remain unpublished until cleared by the designated Product Compliance Reviewer and the required authority.
Standards Organisation of Nigeria
Verify the applicable SONCAP, MANCAP or other conformity requirements and any genuine exemption. Resellers must obtain and retain reliable evidence from the lawful supply chain; their reseller status does not excuse uncertified goods. Do not assume a certificate for a different consignment or model covers the listing.
Nigerian Communications Commission
Verify relevant type approval against the actual equipment model. A brand's approval for one model does not extend to all phones, routers or radio products. A public listing or platform badge is not a regulatory approval.
Other requirements
Customs, environmental, aviation, agricultural, pharmacy and other rules may apply. Verify lawful import and duty treatment, battery transport and disposal restrictions. Do not falsify invoices or ship used electronics as donations or scrap to evade controls.
Part G Misleading listings
Fake discounts are prohibited: keep evidence of the genuine reference price, relevant dates and affected variant. Do not reset false countdowns or conceal compulsory charges.
False specifications are prohibited: do not inflate RAM, storage, wattage, condition, origin or brand. Disclose material upgrades and replacements. Unsupported claims remain the seller's responsibility even if generated by software.
Misleading media are prohibited: do not show a different model, erase defects, fake a test or use an AI image as proof of an actual item's condition. Identify illustrations and preserve reliable actual-item evidence.
False location, stock, warranty, certification, reviews, free-delivery or Buyer Protection claims are prohibited. A small disclaimer does not cure a materially deceptive main claim.
Part H Listing enforcement
We may require an edit for a correctable problem; unpublish while evidence or approval is pending; delete unlawful or serious prohibited content; issue a seller warning; or restrict the relevant category, selling feature or account. Serious risk can justify immediate action without progressive warnings.
Where lawful, the notice identifies the listing, rule, evidence summary, required correction and appeal route. A final significant restriction receives human review. A suspected violation is not automatically established merely because a report was received.
Appeal to support@ukamart.com within 30 calendar days of notice. We acknowledge within 2 business days and aim for a human-review outcome within 10 business days, with explained updates if needed. Reasonable late appeals are considered. Formal copyright challenges follow the statutory process in Document 11 instead of this ordinary window.
For these service targets, business days mean Monday to Friday excluding Nigerian public holidays. Calendar days include weekends and holidays. Any shorter mandatory legal deadline takes priority.
