These Terms cover delivery and pickup of orders placed through UkaMart Global Ltd (RC1532291). They explain available services, charges, handover, failed deliveries and claims. They apply with the Buyer Protection and Returns Policies. They do not offer a standalone parcel-booking or international freight service.
1 Delivery services
UkaMart arranges supported marketplace order deliveries through appointed carriers. The order confirmation identifies the chosen delivery service and whether delivery is arranged through UkaMart or by the named seller. Any separately applicable carrier conditions must be available before acceptance and cannot remove mandatory buyer rights or UkaMart's own commitments.
The named seller remains responsible for supplying the ordered goods. For UkaMart-arranged delivery, contact support@ukamart.com about tracking, failed delivery or claims; we coordinate with the carrier. We do not require an innocent buyer to resolve a seller-carrier cost dispute before receiving a remedy already due.
2 Delivery areas
Coverage depends on the dispatch location, destination, product and available route. Checkout shows the supported options for the address entered. A branch's existence is not a promise of nationwide coverage or that every branch handles every collection.
If no supported route is offered, that delivery option is unavailable. We do not substitute a materially different service or add a charge without explaining it and obtaining agreement.
3 Delivery charges
Checkout states the delivery charge, currency and any applicable compulsory charge before payment. Where dimensions, weight or handling affect the price, the quotation explains the basis. Additional buyer-caused redelivery or address-change costs must be reasonable and disclosed before the additional service is agreed.
No undisclosed surcharge may be demanded at handover. If a seller or carrier's error causes extra costs, we do not automatically pass them to the buyer. Refund treatment follows the reason for cancellation or return and applicable law.
4 Estimated delivery dates
The order shows an estimated delivery window and any dispatch lead time. An estimate is not a guaranteed date unless the offer expressly says so and states the remedy. We communicate significant delays and available alternatives.
A delay outside reasonable control requires reasonable mitigation and notice. It does not automatically excuse negligence or permit indefinite retention of payment for an unperformed order. Contact support when the latest estimated date passes.
5 Tracking
Tracking may show dispatch, collection, transfer, attempted delivery, pickup readiness and delivery. Updates may come from carrier events rather than live GPS. Missing updates are investigated; a βDeliveredβ label alone is not conclusive proof of handover.
Use the order and tracking references when contacting support. Do not publish links or screenshots exposing recipient details.
6 Delivery address
Provide an accurate address, telephone number and necessary access instructions. An address entered for fulfilment does not require continuous device GPS access. Keep unnecessary sensitive information out of delivery notes.
Request a change promptly. We confirm whether rerouting is possible and any reasonable disclosed additional cost before proceeding. A request alone does not change the accepted address. A provider's failure to use the confirmed address is not treated as the buyer's error.
7 Recipient verification
The service explains permitted proof of receipt, such as a delivery code, signature or proportionate identity check. Share a delivery code only at a legitimate handover; do not share a banking OTP or PIN. Tell support if an alternative recipient is authorised.
We collect only evidence appropriate to delivery. A signature or code records receipt, not acceptance of every hidden defect or waiver of consumer rights. Buyer product acceptance and seller payout follow Documents 3 and 10.
8 Failed delivery
The carrier must record the attempt and reason. We contact the recipient to explain redelivery, pickup or return options. Attempt limits and any buyer-caused additional fees must be disclosed with the service; an undisclosed charge cannot be imposed after the event.
A provider-caused failure does not justify charging an innocent buyer for correction. A buyer who supplied an incorrect address or unreasonably failed to attend an agreed handover may bear reasonable additional costs disclosed before the further service. We consider evidence before allocating responsibility.
9 Pickup locations
The order confirmation gives the authorised pickup point, opening hours, collection instructions and deadline. Check the confirmation before travelling; not every branch accepts every return or collection.
UkaMart locations include No. 49 Tetlow Road, Online Plaza (Opposite Haier Thermocool Showroom), Owerri, Imo State; Ama-Nnaji Plaza Bus Stop, Umuaka, Imo State; and No. 2 Morgan Plaza, Opposite Fidelity Bank, Ogbunabali Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. A particular collection requires confirmation.
10 Inspection at handover
Inspection at handover is available only where included in the selected service. It may cover packaging or obvious mismatch rather than full device testing. Lack of that facility does not remove the buyer's later inspection, warranty or statutory rights.
Record visible damage or a wrong item where possible. Do not ask a rider to perform unsafe electrical tests. Test products safely and report issues through the order-support process.
11 Damaged goods
Report damage as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 7 calendar days of delivery, with photographs and packaging where available. An unboxing video is not compulsory. Hidden damage and valid later claims remain reviewable.
Do not power on an unsafe device or send a damaged battery through an ordinary route. Ask for safe handling instructions. We assess packaging, collection and delivery evidence and arrange the applicable sale remedy without making the buyer fund a carrier investigation.
12 Lost or undelivered goods
Report non-arrival after the latest estimated date, or immediately if the order is falsely marked delivered. We request a carrier trace and provide a case reference and updates. A trace must not become an indefinite reason for withholding a remedy.
When non-delivery is established, we arrange completion or an agreed replacement where appropriate, or UkaMart processes the approved refund under Documents 3 and 4. Recovery from the seller or carrier is addressed separately. Duplicate recovery for the same loss is not permitted.
13 Incorrect delivery
Report delivery to the wrong address or an unauthorised recipient. We investigate handover evidence and coordinate recovery or correction. A person receiving an incorrect parcel should avoid using it and contact support.
We do not charge the innocent buyer for correcting the provider's mistake. Personal information is shared only as necessary to investigate and resolve the issue.
14 Returns and reverse delivery
Use the authorised return destination or collection process provided by support. Keep dispatch or collection evidence. Do not send returns to an unverified private address or assume a nearby branch is authorised.
The seller bears reasonable return costs attributable to wrong, defective, counterfeit or materially misdescribed supply. UkaMart bears costs caused by its own error. Carrier-caused loss or damage is resolved without charging an innocent buyer. For a permitted change-of-mind return, reasonable return costs may fall to the buyer if disclosed before purchase. Documents 3 and 4 govern the remedy and any partial settlement.
15 Restricted and unsafe goods
Sellers must not dispatch unlawful, stolen, counterfeit, recalled or prohibited goods. Dangerous goods, batteries, aerosols and other restricted contents require a suitable accepted carrier route and lawful packaging and documentation. An item being sold lawfully does not automatically make it suitable for every transport mode.
Carriers may refuse unsafe or unlawfully declared consignments. We give safe and lawful handling instructions for affected orders. A seller must not conceal contents or transfer safety costs to an innocent buyer.
16 Packaging and declarations
The seller must package the item appropriately and accurately declare contents, quantity, value, dimensions and any special handling need to the carrier. For devices, preserve appropriate serial or IMEI and condition records without exposing them publicly.
Collection evidence should record parcel count and visible condition. A declared value is not itself insurance. Packing or declaration errors require evidence before they are used to allocate loss; a carrier acceptance scan does not conclusively prove adequate hidden packaging.
17 Service scope
These Terms cover supported Nigerian marketplace order deliveries and pickups only. They do not create a right to standalone parcel carriage or an international or UK logistics service. Unsupported options cannot be purchased under this document.
A future materially different service requires its own identified contracting party, conditions and applicable approvals before it is offered. Existing orders remain governed by their accepted terms.
18 Uncollected orders
After a failed-delivery or pickup-ready notice, we provide collection or redelivery instructions and allow at least 14 calendar days to respond before starting return to the seller, unless safety or law requires earlier action. We send a reminder before expiry. Storage fees apply only if the amount and starting event were disclosed and accepted beforehand.
If return is impossible, we issue a further final notice allowing at least 30 calendar days, identify the goods and explain any proposed lawful handling. Silence does not transfer ownership. Any sale, disposal or surrender requires lawful authority and a documented process; any proceeds are accounted for after lawful costs. Hazardous or illegal goods may require earlier lawful action, with notice where practicable.
Returning an uncollected order does not automatically forfeit its entire price. We determine any refund and reasonable lawful deductions under the order terms and applicable law.
19 Responsibility and liability
Responsibility follows the actual sale and delivery commitments, the evidence of loss and applicable law. UkaMart remains responsible for its own acts, omissions and express commitments. The seller remains responsible for its supply obligations. A carrier claim, insurance limit or exclusion does not cap a buyer's underlying sale remedy or excuse a refund already due from UkaMart.
For business users' claims solely concerning UkaMart's platform delivery-arranging service, UkaMart's aggregate liability for events in a 12-month period is limited to the greater of NGN 100,000 and the platform fees paid by that business user in the 12 months before the first relevant event, to the extent lawful. This is the same platform-service cap in Documents 6 and 13, not an additional or overlapping cap. Indirect business loss of profit or opportunity is excluded only to the extent lawful.
No cap or exclusion reduces money already due, an approved refund, property to be returned, non-excludable consumer rights, fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that law prohibits limiting. No separate contractual cap on a consumer's product value is imposed here. Compensation requires evidence and there is no double recovery for the same loss.
20 Claims and appeals
Contact support@ukamart.com with the order reference, dates, issue and available evidence. Report promptly, preferably within 7 calendar days of delivery or discovering the issue; this target does not remove surviving statutory or warranty rights.
We acknowledge within 2 business days and aim to provide a decision or substantive update within 10 business days, with further updates at least every 10 business days if unresolved. We explain the outcome, applicable remedy, responsible party and next step.
Appeal ordinarily within 30 calendar days. An authorised human reviewer aims to respond within 10 business days, and reasonable late appeals are considered. You may approach the FCCPC, the relevant carrier regulator or a competent court without first exhausting internal review. Privacy enquiries go to privacy@ukamart.com.
For these service targets, business days mean Monday to Friday excluding Nigerian public holidays. Calendar days include weekends and holidays. Any shorter mandatory legal deadline takes priority.
